Built in 1986, work for this project included a comprehensive 30-year renovation and two new additions, one for the music department and a second to accommodate new mechanical and electrical equipment. The renovation featured enlarged classrooms, new daylighting in the cafeteria, tubular skylights in rooms without exterior windows, improved bus and parent drop-offs, card access systems on all entry doors, new exterior energy efficient operable windows, an enlarged media center connected to an exterior classroom with ampitheater-style seating and a covered patio, new interior floor, wall, and ceiling finishes, new covered entries and protected walkways, new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, all-LED interior lighting, digital energy dashboards, and interactive projectors in all classrooms.
